Ajab Tamasha seems like a violent
yet promising video at first but the moment the lyrics seep in it spins your
attention to a thought provoking dilemma of this country that is “brain drain”.
This is what has happened to our industries and now to media also. We have lost
artists to this, actors musicians, singers, you name it. Channels are helping
in this. I like the spirit of bands and artists that do not believe in leaving
this territory. For the rest I guess EP says it this way :
Rona hai yeh purana
Bus kero yeh bahana
Apna yehi thikana hai
This is a song that can bring a
revolution so I can call it a bomb-track. Packed with thought provoking lyrics
this song has the potential for becoming a hot single on the charts. Sadly the
nation is more into love stricken songs of the neighboring country. Right from
the beginning you can feel the power packed composition explodes on your
screen.
Salman has grown up into a great
guitarist and his solo seems a little off yet he pulls it off in style. Farhad
has always done great with is pair of firewood and skins. This is a beautiful
song thanks to its brilliant composition and the really encouraging rhythm.
Hassaan has done a great job with his four strings. For Butt sahab this is a
radiant attempt and a perfect performance to discourage your cynics and proving
once again that EP is still alive and kicking.
For all those who thought EP
would be lost without xulfi, fawad and waqar, this is the song for you. Filling
in all the shoes the rest of the band has does a great job. Of course a little
expertise from Farhad Hamayun also.
For those who doubted and said EP
was dead a line for the lyrics:
“Kyun Rung tera fuk hai”
Please do give a try if you
haven’t yet:
